Makeup Products and Techniques for Dry Skin
Many of us, most of the time suffer from itching and drying once after we apply makeup or our skin care products. The reason behind this is the way our skin gets treated. The first thing you should keep in mind before buying any beauty product is your skin type- Dry, Oily or Combination! You should use products which are specifically designed to cater your skin needs and should nourish it well. While you attempt makeup on your face you must have faced some particles flakes and dryness of your face. The reason behind this is not your skin but the makeup products you use to beautify your features.
Here are some tips for the girls those who have dry skin and get tough time in applying makeup-
1. Exfoliation- this is a common step for all the skin types although the products are different as they are completely dependent on the kind of skin you have. Use a scrub that is cream based and is for dry skin. Get rid of the flaky dead cells before applying makeup. See, what frequency suits your skin type and repeat it regularly. However, exfoliation once a week is often recommended by skin care experts. Lips too, should have an exfoliation regime of their own.
2. Moisturize- Just like the first step this is too is important for all skin types. Since you have dry skin you must make sure that the moisturizer you use must get soaked in your skin. However, don’t go for some greasy formulas as they might clog your skin pores. So for the dry skin, go for a rich and not greasy moisturizer that smooth your skin and nourishes it well. Try ‘Neutrogena’ for dry skin.
Foundation and Primers-make sure to avoid applying several layers of makeup. Therefore, use a light primer and smooth your skin with it. Get a matching foundation dotted all on your face and blend it with a makeup sponge. Don’t use powders as they make you skin dry and give you an older-looking skin. While choosing a foundation make sure you opt for a color that matches your skin tone and is light. You can buy cosmetics online easily and comfortably.
3. Eye Shadows- if you wish to add drama to your eyes, opt for creamy eye shadows and also the eye liner you wish to wear. They avoid tugging your delicate eye lids and give you the look you want. For the rest of your eye makeup, you can use products that you like to wear. Just make sure to use products that don’t act as a catalyst to smudge your well-applied eye makeup.
4. Cheeks and Lips- blush the apple of your cheeks with a cream blush on to give your cheeks the shine they required. Don’t go for powder or gel based blush on as they make your skin look drier. Pamper you lips with a lip balm and then apply lipstick or lip gloss.
